For this paper, select one of the following Schnackenberg poems to analyze:

“Complaint”

“Snow Melting”

“Supernatural Love”

For the poem you select, do the following:

1. Scan at least two stanzas, indicating stressed and unstressed syllables, feet, meter, and rhyme scheme.

2. Analyze the poem (or in the case of “Supernatural Love,” some substantial and representative part of it) in terms of its prosody and in terms of at least one of the following categories (from Kinzie): line, syntax, diction, trope, rhetoric (or argument).

Your paper should be 4-5 pages long. Please scan your stanzas on a separate page, attached to your paper. Use a “Courier” font to give you more room to make your marks.
